The DS is getting a rather slick looking camera that plugs into the GBA slot as you can see. I'm not sure if that image on the left is a live trace of the player, but if so it seems to be some pretty intense technology(looks like an avatar though). The game this comes packaged with is called 'Adult Face Training' Which I suppose helps paralysis victms as well as Jean Chretien...

Hit the jump for another pic of the cam, and a DS stand?I'm not a huge fan of Camera Peripherals but I'm not totally against them...Maybe we'll get a DS printer too, since that was so successful on the GameBoy.

Metroid Prime 3: DELAYED!
Luckily it's only a week (Aug 27). This is my most anticipated game right now, so it still blows. Nintendo tried to hide this little detail in a press release which revealed that Phantom Hourglass will be coming to North America on October 1. Hit the jump for the alternative image for this post.

Gamecock brings Survival Horror to the DS with Dementium: The Ward
Survivor horror is a genre that has made huge strides lately and now Gamecock is bringing it to the handheld market, and right too - no ports or remakes here. Watch the trailer to see the surprisingly intuitive looking gameplay!

Ubisoft tapping into the power of the DS with Brothers in Arms
It would seem that Ubisoft has really gotten comfy with Nintendo's behemoth of a handheld, and has found out how to get the most out of it's visuals. It begs the question though, where was this Ubisoft at the Wii launch? This game honestly looks better than Call of Duty 3 on the Wii. I didn't think I'd ever see destructable environments on the DS, but it happened. Aaron Linde at Destructoid points out that the game looks like it belongs on the PSP and states that Wii games will eventually start looking good- lets hope.

An Unexpected port...
I think the title may be a bit of an understatement... IGN claims that Assassin's Creed is coming to the DS. An odd choice...considering the game hasn't been announced for Wii, PS2, or PSP (and as far as I know PC). It seems odd that Ubisoft would want to downscale a game that much and not drop a few more off on the way. You know that it would probably sell better on the Wii and PS2 than it will on the PS3, it's the user base. If they're into making money- and they are, it just seems odd that they'd skip the two most popular home consoles and go straight to a handheld, even when considering the DS' strong sales.
Heres hoping for a little more multi-platforming from Ubisoft (never thought I'd hear myself say that again)

Piqued interest: Pollen Sonata
4colourrebellion has opened my eyes to many things. Indie developers are one of them, in fact I think it's safe to say that these guys are all about Independents within multiple industries. Anyways, it IS a Nintendo fan site and so every now and then the worlds collide and an Indie developer is looking to develop for Wii or DS. Judging from the video I think the objective is to get the boy and girl together. You do this by controlling a pollen particle in what seems to be a Dewy's Adventure type gameplay style. A very intriguing video, great presentation, sentimental music, and seems pretty innovative in terms of story and gameplay (I think the wind is a variable here). Looking forward to it.

Ninja Gaiden pushes DS to new limits
See that? THAT is a good looking game. It seems comparable to early PS2 games, I can't believe the amount of fluidity in the animation and detail in the environments. The game is gorgeous and it's on the DS. Whats more is that the game, which uses the touch screen almost exclusively seems to control really well. I'd say this is shaping up to be a must have title. Even if Ninjas aren't your bag, the game is played by holding the DS book style (ala Brain Age) and who doesn't like doing that?

Final Fantasy IV to make DS debut in 3d!
Square has always held a place in my heart, of course they also own much of my wallet as well. Over the years they have become known mostly for their beautiful RPGs and also for recycling their old beautiful RPGs and making them beautiful again to todays standards...Sort of like George Lucas... Anyways, it would seem that, from a japanese scan, the game uses an improved FFIII engine pushing the DS to new limits. The DS has become a gamers staple, and with the stellar support being seen I'm beginning to wonder if I even need a console...
thanks Joystiq, for something...

Phantom Hourglass coming earlier than expected?
Not even link can believe it, but Kotaku is saying that DS gamers will be able to get their Zelda on this June. June 23 to be exact, and seeing as that is the day before my birthday I'm going to just go out and say that if anybody is trying to buy my love that this is probably going to be the way to go. The source of this story comes from Famitsu, so it can pretty much be confirmed right there.
Just look at that picture for a second...Zelda game early? I just don't know.
